Murder Live-streamed on Facebook over land dispute in Bhalessa

Kishtwar, June 16: In a shocking incident that unfolded on social media, a man in the Chanwari area of Bhalessa in Gundow Sub Division of Doda District committed murder during a dispute over land.
The victim, identified as Ram Krishan from Doosa Bhalesa, lost his life in the incident, while another woman, Anju Devi, wife of Chander Parkash from Chounari Bhalesa, sustained injuries and has been referred to GMC Doda for treatment.
According to reports, a scuffle broke out between two groups in Chanwari Bhalesa, resulting in the fatal murder of Ram Krishan.
The accused, Bharo Singh, live-streamed the entire incident on Facebook, which was witnessed by the victim’s minor granddaughter. The young girl later provided a detailed account of the incident to the police.
Following the crime, the accused fled the scene.
SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom confirmed the heinous murder and stated that a police team has been dispatched to apprehend the fugitive. He also mentioned that the injured daughter of the deceased is out of danger and recovering well.
Meanwhile, SDPO Gundon Adil Reshu, along with SHO Police Station Gundon and teams from neighboring areas, is actively searching for Bharo Singh.
The accused is believed to be hiding in a forested area and has been posting messages on Facebook, claiming responsibility for the murder.
The police have cordoned off the entire Chanwari forest area and are conducting a thorough search, but the exact location of the suspect’s hideout is yet to be determined.
