JAMMU, June 17: A significant event took place in BJP District Jammu South as part of the Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan program. The "Beneficiary Sammelan" was held today in Bahu Constituency in the esteemed presence of Hardeep Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs in the Government of India, at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The event marked nine years since the current BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi came into power. The beneficiaries Sammelan (Laabhartis) was organized under the presidency of Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President Jammu South.
Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs, along with Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana, BJP National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, J&K BJP General Secretary Adv. Vibodh Gupta, former Minister Priya Sethi, District Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, and Former District President Vinay Gupta, held an interaction with the people who have availed benefits of various schemes initiated by the Narendra Modi government. They also addressed a large gathering of these beneficiaries.
District General Secretaries Pushpinder Singh and Akash Chopra, Mandal Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Neeraj Puri, Councillors Sharda Devi, Rahul Kumar, Neena Gupta, and a large number of beneficiaries were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Hardeep Puri highlighted that no other government in the past has been as dedicated to the betterment of people belonging to poor and marginalized sections. He emphasized that India, under PM Modi's leadership, has witnessed significant development and progress. Puri commended BJP's policies that have focused on benefiting the needy, transcending caste lines and breaking the stronghold of regional political outfits based on caste.
MP Gulam Ali Khatana acknowledged PM Narendra Modi's transformative projects and welfare schemes, which have brought progress and prosperity to the country during his tenure as Prime Minister since 2014.
Dr. Narinder Singh elaborated on key schemes such as Ujjwala, Har Ghar Jal, Swachh Bharat, and the COVID relief package worth Rs 20 lakh crore. He emphasized that these public-friendly decisions have uplifted the agriculture and infrastructure sectors while contributing to the overall economy of J&K.
Adv. Vibodh Gupta praised PM Modi's fearless and timely decision-making, leading to India achieving 100% vaccination coverage while many developed countries are still lagging behind.
Former Minister Priya Sethi expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his keen interest in the betterment of all segments of society. She highlighted various projects and schemes that have been extended to J&K.
Rekha Mahajan, BJP District President Jammu South, thanked the hundreds of beneficiaries of central schemes such as Skill Development, Mudra, Ayushman Bharat, and PM Awas Yojana. These beneficiaries shared their stories with the BJP leadership during the event.
