"Rally of Valley" flagged off in Doda

BHADERWAH, June 17: The picturesque region of Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing an exhilarating time-speed-distance (TSD) 4-wheeler rally known as the "Rally of Valley." This high-octane event comprises participants from different regions of India. With its challenging route spanning approximately 1050 kilometers, the rally has traversed the treacherous roads of Chamba, Jammu, and reached Bhaderwah the previous day.
Today, the rally was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan along with SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom, from Govt Degree College Bhaderwah ground.
The rally shall pass through Kishtwar, Sinthan Pass towards Kupwara district. The rally kicked off on June 14, 2023 from Chamba and reached Doda on 16th June.
The district administration of Doda headed by Vishesh Pal Mahajan, DC Doda and Abdul Qayoom, SSP Doda welcomed the participants and made all the necessary arrangements. More than 30 teams from different parts of the country are participating in this rally.
As one of the largest events in the country, this rally is expected to generate immense interest and enthusiasm among the youth of Doda and JK.
It promises an unforgettable experience, blending awe-inspiring landscapes with adrenaline-pumping moments. The rally will proceed to Kishtwar - Sinthan - Srinagar and touch the LOC in Keran sector.
Speaking to the participants, DC Doda invited them to bring more such events and participants to Doda district which offers immense potential to host such rally’s with varied terrain ranging from tough high altitude passes such as Padri and Chatragala and the rugged terrains of Lal Draman.
He advocated for exploring the huge potential of eco-tourism of the district and invited them for the International Yoga Day at Jae and all other upcoming events in the district. The organisers appreciated the district administration of Doda, JK Police and the Indian Army for facilitating the rally.
The "Rally of Valley" is poised to become a memorable event, showcasing the spirit of adventure and the mesmerizing beauty of Jammu and Kashmir.
