Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 17: A grand public rally was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Municipal Park in Jawahar Nagar to commemorate the completion of nine years of the BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event was attended by prominent party leaders, including J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, Minister of State & Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, and BJP General Secretary Sunil Sharma. The rally witnessed a large gathering of BJP Parliamentary Constituency leaders, district presidents, functionaries, and party in-charges.
During his address, Ravinder Raina expressed that the BJP has become the first choice for the majority of people across regions and communities in the new peaceful and developing Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized the party's fast growth in Kashmir and highlighted the frustration of those who previously threatened to stop BJP's entry into the region.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, in her speech, criticized the earlier family parties for dividing people based on religion, region, and ethnicity, solely for the purpose of looting the resources of J&K. She praised Prime Minister Modi as the savior of the people of J&K, who brought peace, reconstruction, development, and public welfare without any social divisions. She attributed BJP's popularity to the public endorsement of Modi's Kashmir policy.
Sunil Sharma, the BJP General Secretary, criticized former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his disrespectful remarks against the party leader and the BJP's standing in J&K. He called out the "hate-sellers" and stated that the unruly language used by dynasts exposes their true nature. Sharma highlighted the transformative impact of BJP in Kashmir and its efforts to improve the ailing systems in the UT.
The event also witnessed the induction of several prominent public personalities into the BJP fold. Surinder Ambardar, an ex-MLC, was present during the occasion.
