Amid criticism of his ‘security, accommodation’, Kashmiri actor joins BJP
6/18/2023 11:32:56 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 18: : Amid criticism of the “luxury accommodation and security”, he enjoined, a Kashmiri actor has joined the Bharatiya Janta Party.
The actor from Srinagar who is trying his luck in Bollywood had often been in news for enjoying “special police protection and government accommodation.” He would also face public criticism for the same.
As per the sources, he enjoys government accommodation on the banks of Dal Lake in the locality where mostly the VIPs live on the heels of Zabarwan hills.
The sources said he lives in a hut owned by the government of Jammu and Kashmir.
The sources said he was given police protection and accommodation after he got a break in the Bollywood movies.
That time after his film posters that had been put up in Srinagar, he had faced threats after which he was given the police protection.
But many had been saying that he was enjoying undue “privileges.”
For the last few months, he was using his social media handles to attack the opposition parties and its leaders including Congress leader Rahul Gandi.
He would also appreciate BJP from time to time till he finally joined the party.
His joining the right wing party has triggered a heated debate on the social media.
“Khuda Ganjeh ko Nakhoon Na Deh,” said a NC leader on the social media.
The political rivals said that the actor joined BJP only to “keep enjoying VIP incentives.”
Observers said, “Why was he given accommodation in VIP area or security in the first instance? To retain such benefits and to prevent any reduction of such benefits he joined the BJP.”
“BJP is a big party it should give space to people only after checking their credentials. If someone is joining the party only for security or government accommodation, such deals won’t help BJP in Kashmir,” said the observer on the condition of anonymity.
Despite repeated attempts the said actor turned politician was not available for comments.
