Jammu, June 19: Sanjay Pehwan from Pargwal showcased his wrestling prowess as he claimed victory in the highly anticipated Kharah Kesri Dangal Championship held in Kharah. In a thrilling match, he defeated his opponent Vikas Pahlwan from Haryana to clinch the title. The championship witnessed a total of 60 wrestling bouts, with the final showdown between Sanjay Pehwan and Vikas Pahlwan.
The event was graced by the presence of Suram Sharma, Joint Director of Youth Services and Sports Jammu, who presided over the ceremony and presented prizes to the winners and runners-up. During his address, Sharma expressed his gratitude to all the participants and encouraged the youth to actively engage in sports and games as a means of channeling their energy. He also highlighted the government’s efforts to provide accessible sports facilities to promote a sports culture among the youth.
