Seminar on career counselling, placements held at GGM Science College

JAMMU, June 22: The Directorate of Placement Cell, Cluster University of Jammu, in collaboration with Kartavya Institute and the Career Counselling Cell of G.G.M. Science College, organized a one-day seminar today. The seminar aimed to provide career guidance and placement information to the 6th semester students.
Dr. Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu, graced the event as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Rajesh Gupta, Principal of G.G.M. Science College Jammu, was the Guest of Honour. The seminar commenced with a welcome address by Prof. D.S. Manhas, Director of Placement, Cluster University of Jammu, who extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests and students attending the session. He emphasized the job opportunities and campus placement drives available for the students.
Dr. Naveen Anand, in his address, provided valuable information about opportunities in the corporate sector and recommended companies that are willing to hire undergraduate students with attractive packages. The Resource Person, Mr. Dinesh Choudhary from Kartavya Institute, delivered an engaging lecture, sharing insights on competitive tests, schemes, and techniques required to excel in examinations. He emphasized the growing demand in the corporate sector and encouraged students to consider various competitive exams, skill development courses, and startup schemes.
The session was highly informative and interactive, with students actively participating and raising queries. The Resource Persons addressed the students' questions and provided positive responses. Over 100 students attended the session with great enthusiasm. Prof. Shrdha Anand and Prof. Asha Sharmhal organized the event, and it was anchored by Rahil, a 6th-semester student. The seminar concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Shrdha Anand.
