Training workshop on Municipal electoral roll revision conducted

DODA, June 22: In the run up to the Municipal Electoral Roll Revision, District Election Office Doda organised a training workshop for its staff here under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan. The workshop, organized by District Deputy Election Officer, Amersh Kotwal, focused on the summary revision process for adding, deleting, and correcting electoral roll records. Officials from the District Election Office provided comprehensive training on the updated software required for the upcoming municipal election, with the aim of familiarizing participants with the digital system. The training was conducted by the District Informatics Officer. Several officers associated with the revision process, including executive officers from Doda, Bhaderwah, and Thathri, as well as Election Naib Tehsildar (ENT) Angrez Singh Jasrotia and officials from the District Election Office, attended the workshop. The primary objective of the workshop was to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out the revision process of the electoral roll. The officials from the District Election Office provided comprehensive training on the computerized procedures for adding, deleting, and correcting electoral records. The workshop also aimed to ensure a smooth and efficient conduct of the upcoming municipal election by utilizing the digital system in place. The workshop served as an invaluable platform for interactions and discussions among the participating officers, allowing them to exchange insights and clarify any doubts regarding the revision process.
Throughout the workshop, District Deputy Election Officer Shri Amersh Kotwal provided commendable guidance, emphasizing the significance of accuracy and transparency in the electoral roll revision process. With the successful completion of the workshop, the officials involved in the revision process are now well-equipped to undertake their respective responsibilities in ensuring an updated and error-free electoral roll for the upcoming municipal election in Doda.
