Early Times Report

Jammu, July 4: In a commendable operation, the police party from Police Post (PP) Sidhra successfully intercepted an unknown individual on Tawi Bridge Sidhra while he was mercilessly and cruelly shifting 15 bovine animals towards Kashmir.
The suspect, identified as Rashid Ali, son of Yoor Ali and a resident of Nikki Tawi in Jammu district, was apprehended during the incident.
The police team, conducting a routine check at the bridge, noticed the suspect dragging the animals using tied ropes, without any valid permission or authorization.
Shocked by the inhumane treatment of the animals, the officers immediately took action, rescuing the bovine animals from their distressing conditions.
During questioning, the suspect revealed his identity as Rashid Ali and provided details of his residence. Acting swiftly, the police took cognizance of the situation, arresting Rashid Ali for his alleged involvement in the cruel transportation.
A detailed Daily Diary (DD) extract has been sent to the Police Station (PS) Nagrota to initiate the process of lodging a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused.
The brave intervention of the PP Sidhra police team has ensured the safety and well-being of the bovine animals, while also demonstrating their commitment to upholding the law and protecting innocent lives. The arrest of Rashid Ali marks a significant step towards curbing such cruel practices and maintaining the welfare of animals.
The incident highlights the importance of public vigilance and the dedication of the police in preserving the rights and dignity of all living beings.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, with the authorities determined to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
