Heroin Recovery: Three peddlers arrested in Jammu

Jammu, July 6: Police, in its relentless fight against drug trafficking, achieved a significant breakthrough with the recovery of 10 grams of heroin and the arrest of three individuals in the jurisdiction of Nowabad Police Station.
A police team from Nowabad Police Station, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Dr. Sunniya Wani and assisted by Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Surinder Raina and In-Charge of Police Post Talab Tillo Police Sub-Inspector Sonu Choudhary, apprehended three suspects traveling in a vehicle with registration number JK02 DB 2531 near UNO Lane, Talab Tillo. Upon conducting a search, 10 grams of heroin were found in their possession.
A case under FIR No. 106/22, under sections 8/21/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, was registered at Nowabad Police Station, and the accused were arrested. The arrested individuals have been identified as:
1. Vikram Singh, son of late Shri Uttam Singh, resident of Bohri Anand Nagar Jammu, caught with 6 grams of heroin.
2. Mohit Manhas, son of Joginder Singh, resident of Bohri Anand Nagar Jammu, caught with 2 grams of heroin.
3. Rishav Arora, son of Sanjeev Kumar, resident of Shiv Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu, caught with 2 grams of heroin.
The investigation into the case is currently underway, and Jammu Police is making efforts to dismantle the drug supply chains in the region. Thorough questioning of the accused is being conducted to determine the origin of the drugs supply chain.
