Jammu, July 6: In an effort to curb the menace of illegal mining, Jammu Police executed a multi-pronged strategy resulting in the seizure of five vehicles involved in illegal mining activities. The crackdown was carried out by police teams from PP Phallain Mandal, PP Chinore, and PP Sidhra, acting on specific inputs and conducting raids in their respective areas. The details of the seized vehicles are as follows:
1. Three tractor trollies with the following Chassis Numbers:
o MBNBG55ANPCG65145
o MBNAAAL2BMJK00838
o MBNBGAANUUMJD03412 Seized by PP Phallain Mandal
2. One tractor trolley with Chassis Number: MBNAU52AINCE16800 Seized by PP Chinore
3. One Dumper with Registration Number: JK21H 9073 Seized by PP Sidhra
The seizures were carried out under the supervision of PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, PSI Rajesh Kumar, and PSI Arun Kumar, who are in charge of their respective police posts.
DMO Jammu has been duly informed about the illegal mining activities. It is worth noting that the mining operations were conducted in violation of the orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu Police has taken strict action to implement measures against illegal mining and tighten the noose on violators of the law. |
