Reasi admin finalizes arrangements for Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav

REASI, July 7: District Development Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal, along with senior officials, today finalized the arrangements for the annual Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav at the Shiv Khori Shrine in Reasi.
The meeting discussed the activity plan featuring a series of events to be held from 10th July to 28th August 2023, every Monday, to celebrate the month of Shrawan as a time for Shiva worship and Pooja at Shiv Khori Shrine Ransoo.
To create a memorable experience for pilgrims and visitors, a variety of events have been scheduled for each Monday of the Shravan month. These activities encompass bhajan concerts, stage performances, katha and sermons, bhajan competitions, screenings of movies and documentaries, art/painting competitions and exhibitions, as well as religious ceremonies.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed all the necessary arrangements with the officers including security, traffic control, Law & order, uninterrupted power and water supply, maintenance of roads, medical facilities, and sanitation.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Police to deploy a requisite number of security personnel at various points including main temples to facilitate pilgrims besides traffic police was asked to regulate smooth traffic flow on various routes.
The DC directed Xen Jal Shakti for water supply and water tanks are provided at Bus stand, taxi stand and other requisite locations in Ransoo during the event. DC also gave direction to XEN PWD and PMGSY Reasi to maintain the road from Kanda to Ransoo and Ransoo to Teryath.
The CMO was instructed to make provision of medical facilities at different places, besides keeping available an ambulance to handle any emergency. The EO Municipality Reasi was directed to conduct sanitation drives in shifts to ensure proper cleanliness in all areas and install mobile toilets at suitable places.
The Deputy Commissioner exhorted upon the concerned departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for the convenience of pilgrims coming to attend the Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi directed all concerned departments to make all necessary arrangements for pilgrims to ensure smooth conduct Shivkhori Shrawan Mahotsav.
