UDHAMPUR, July 12: To take review of the progress achieved in the implementation of Poshan project (Social Welfare Department), Subhash Chander Dogra, newly appointed District Programme Officer, Poshan Udhampur today conducted a day long extensive tour of various Anganwadi centres of adjoining areas of Block Udhampur.
During the tour, he reviewed all the schemes (viz. Poshan Abhiyaan, Pradhan Mantra Matru Vandana Yojna) being implemented at grassroots level.
He directed the CDPOs to keep close check and visit to the AWCs to ensure effective implementation of poshan Schemes and also ensure that no beneficiary is left out in the process.
While visiting Anganwadi centres, the District Programme Officer, Poshan emphasized upon the Supervisors/ Anganwadi Workers/Helpers to gear up the process for distribution of Supplementary Nutrition as per guideline in vogue within stipulated time framed by the Higher Authorities.
He also stressed upon the AWWs to visit door to door and inform the beneficiaries oriented schemes being implemented by this sector. Besides this, instructions were also passed to the Anganwadi Worker to track the activities of Anganwadi centres viz growth monitoring, attendance, community based events etc on newly launched application namely Poshan Tracker on daily basis.
He also issued directions to AWWs to maintain punctuality in AWCs, conduct Pre-school activities, Community Based events and also maintain the record of AWC particularly survey register, distribution of nutrition items etc. |
