Jammu, July 12: Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court today granted interim pre-arrest bail to Dr. Shashi Sudan Principal GMC Jammu who was booked by the Crime Branch Jammu in date of birth forging case.
Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul after hearing Sr. Adv Pranav Kohli with Advs Frahan Mirza and Aftab Malik for the applicant whereas Sr. AAG Monika Kohli for the Crime Branch, issued notice to the Crime Branch which was accepted by Sr. AAG and directed to file an objection by the next date of hearing.
Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul after hearing both the sides, observed that after going through file, a case is made out for grant of interim bail in favour of petitioner and ordered that in the event of arrest of petitioner in FIR No 57/2023 dated July 1, 2023 for commission of offences u/s 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC and section 5(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act 2006 registered with Police station EOW Crime Branch Jammu, she shall be released on interim bail with the condition that she shall furnish bail and personal bonds to the tune of Rs 1 lac each to the satisfaction of Arresting officer and she shall associate with Investigating Agency, if and when required by IO, she shall appear before IO tomorrow 10:00 Am and she shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence or hamper investigation in any manner.
