Public of Ramgarh appreciated police functioning at Thana Diwas

SAMBA, July 13: Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today presided over impressive 'Thana Diwas' at Police Station Ramgarh where hundreds of prominent citizens including PRIs were present. SSP was accompanied by Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar, Incharges of all Border Police Posts (BPPs) and other police officers.
Those who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the public included : DDC member S. Sarabjeet Singh, Sarpanch Roop Chand, Sarpanch Bhavishan Singh, Sarpanch Tirath Ram, Sarpanch Nirmala Kumari, Panch Vijay Verma, Panch Bachan Lal Choudhary, Social activists Shiv Kumar, Ram Singh and Gurcharan Singh aired their reports and general grievances of the people at the properly organised Thana Diwas which were directed to be redressed immediately.
Speaking on the occasion of Thana Diwas, SSP Samba Benam Tosh thanked the public of Ramgarh for appreciating the functioning of Police in Samba district in general and Ramgarh in particular & also thanked the prominent citizens for sparing their valuable time and putting forward valuable suggestions for further improvement in the working of the police vis-à-vis public service. Benam Tosh said that crime has been controlled in Samba district & hotspots of heroin have been vanished across the district & big heroin suppliers are either in Jails or have been booked to be arrested under law & have left the district & even UT of J&K to evade arrest. A handful of remaining heroin suppliers are being chased and would be arrested soon, he added. SSP further said that Police is well aware about the Police related issues of the public and is committed to redress their grievances on priority. He informed that Police has been organizing series of sports events & anti-drugs awareness programmes in the Border areas & would continue organizing the same in days to come as well. SSP directed the Police officers present at the Thana Diwas to listen to the complainants at the Police Stations & Police Posts with due respect ensuring dignity of everyone & disposed of their matters appropriately & expeditiously.
