JAMMU, July 13: Event Overview: The Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) Jammu, in association with the Departments of Pediatrics at Govt Medical College and ASCOMS Hospital, organized an Update on Neonatal and Pediatric Emergencies. The event aimed to provide healthcare professionals with valuable insights into critical topics related to neonatal and pediatric care. Dr. Deepak Sharma, Consultant Neonatologist at KD Hospital, delivered an enlightening presentation on neonatal hypoxia, focusing on innovative approaches and best practices for its management. Dr. Sushil Sharma, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at ASCOMS, provided a comprehensive discussion on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neonatal shock, capturing the audience's attention. Dr. Anumodan Gupta, Lecturer of Pediatrics at GMC Jammu, delivered a comprehensive lecture addressing neonatal respiratory distress and its management. Dr. Surjeet Kumar, Lecturer of Pediatrics at GMC Jammu, delivered a lucid and detailed talk on the approach to a hypoxic child. Dr. Jayashree Muralidharan, Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of PICU and Emergency Units at PGIMER Chandigarh, spoke virtually on the latest developments in the management of pediatric shock.
