Natrang to organize new theatre workshop for young aspirants from July 23

Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 18: Natrang Jammu has announced a new "Theatre Workshop for Young Aspirants" scheduled to take place from July 23rd at the Natrang Studio Theatre in Jammu. This workshop aims to provide training and create awareness about theatre among the youth, with a special focus on various fundamental aspects of acting.
Padamshree Balwant Thakur, known for his expertise in theatre, has devised this exclusive Acting Workshop to offer a learning opportunity to young individuals aspiring to pursue acting. In Jammu, there is currently a lack of platforms for young artists to explore the field professionally. The rise of social media has resulted in numerous youngsters creating reels without a strong acting background, leading to a decline in standards and professionalism within the acting profession. In response, Natrang has taken the initiative to introduce the elementary aspects of acting processes and approaches.
The workshop will not only serve as a means of developing acting skills but also help participants become aware of their strengths and weaknesses, contributing to their overall personality development and intellectual growth. It will be conducted by senior faculty members of Natrang, and participants will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with Balwant Thakur, who has gained international exposure in theatre.
Interested individuals aged 15 and above can contact the Natrang office at Municipal Building, Tange Wali Gali, Palace Road, Jammu, or send their requests via email to [email protected]. They can also reach out to the workshop coordinator at 9419106669 or 9906048670.
During a press briefing conducted by senior functionaries of Natrang, including Neeraj Kant, Anil Tickoo, Sumeet Sharma, and Rahul Singh, the significance of theatre in honing skills, boosting confidence, fostering creativity and imagination, and improving communication abilities was emphasized. The workshop aims to meet the growing demand for actors in the theatre, events, television, and film industries, and support and train fresh talents. Notably, Jammu has seen the emergence of several talented individuals who have made a name for themselves in theatre, films, and television, such as Harish Khanna, Bhanu Goswami, and Sunil Palwal.
Natrang's commitment to organizing such workshops reflects its dedication to nurturing the youth, who represent the future of the state, and facilitating their success in the theatre and entertainment industry
