Jammu, July 20: Jammu Police has taken a firm stand against the menace of illegal mining and executed a multi-pronged strategy to curb it. Acting on specific inputs, police teams from PS Khour, PP Sidhra, and PP Talab Tillo conducted raids in their respective areas, resulting in the seizure of 04 vehicles involved in illegal mining. The details of the seized vehicles are as follows:
1. One Tractor Trolley with Registration No. JK02DD-5381, seized by PS Khour.
2. One Dumper with Registration No. JK02CJ-9658, seized by PP Sidhra.
3. One tractor with Registration No. JK02BR 0802, seized by PP Talab Tillo.
4. One tipper with Registration No. JK02CE 9734, also seized by PP Talab Tillo.
The responsible officers in their respective jurisdictions, including SHO PS Khour, Inspr Rahul Mahajan; I/C PP Sidhra, PSI Arun Kumar; and I/C PP Talab Tillo, PSI Sonu Choudhary, carried out the successful operations.
DMO Jammu was duly informed about the actions taken. It was discovered that the mining activities were carried out in violation of the orders of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir. In a bid to strictly implement measures against illegal mining and crack down on those flouting the law, Jammu Police has initiated stringent actions. |
