Early Times Report

Jammu, June 21: The Inner Wheel Club Jammu, under the dynamic leadership of District Chairman Mrs. Rita Sharma, embarked on a transformative initiative named “Strong Woman Stronger the World” with a vision to empower women and promote health, hygiene, and awareness in the local community. The project, Charter Number 1960, is driven by President Mrs. Manisha Sharma and Secretary Ms. Arti Rajinder.
In a remarkable effort to uplift the lives of women in the R.S. Pura block and slum areas of the surroundings, club members collaborated with local doctors to conduct an enlightening awareness lecture on population control, sanitation, and hygiene exclusively for the female society. The initiative aimed to equip women with essential knowledge to enhance their well-being and that of their families.
During the informative session, the Inner Wheel Club Jammu distributed reusable sanitary napkins made of eco-friendly banana leaves, providing women with a sustainable and hygienic menstrual hygiene solution. Empowering them with the necessary knowledge, the club members demonstrated how to correctly use these innovative sanitary napkins.
Additionally, the project placed significant emphasis on family planning and population control. The club took proactive measures to promote small family sizes for improved maternal and child health. Through the provision of contraceptive tablets and relevant counseling, both male and female attendees pledged to support the cause of a small family, recognizing its positive impact on the overall health and well-being of mother and child.
In a compassionate gesture, club members distributed fruits, biscuits, and essential medicines among the beneficiaries, aiming to enhance their nutritional status and overall health.
With the active participation of District Editor Ms. Timatny Ahlluwalia, the Inner Wheel Club Jammu’s “Strong Woman Stronger the World” project successfully left a profound impact on the local community. The initiative epitomizes the club’s commitment to fostering positive change and uplifting the lives of women, making them stronger contributors to their families and society as a whole.
