Implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission reviewed at Doda

DODA, July 28: In yet another government initiative, Scan & Share for OPD patients under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was kick started today at CHC Thathri.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ab Hamid Zargar inaugurated the digital facility in presence of local BMO Dr Shafqat Javed Zargar.
Appreciating the step taken to facilitate patients under this new initiative, CMO Doda Dr Zargar said the ease of access to the healthcare system is key to quality care, and technology plays a vital role in it.
He also said this initiative will go a long way in facilitating Patient registration, and save the public from long waits and queues.
Speaking about the initiative, the BMO Thathri Dr Shafqat said that this is a great initiative for patient care as the patients no longer have to stand in long queues to get the OPD tickets.
He said that under this facility the patient has to just scan the QR code through an app on their mobile phone and after getting the successful registration, all the details of the patient will get reflected.
He added that the patient then has to simply go to the registration counter and reply to just a few queries of his/her ailments and the patient will be immediately directed to the concerned doctor and OPD as per token generated from the QR code.
Furthermore, all the details of the patients will be saved and maintained including the ailments of patients and the same can be reflected during the next visit of the patient.
Meanwhile, the CMO went around various wards, different sections of the hospitals and received detailed accounts of the activities vis a vis patient flow, availability of infrastructure, manpower, medicines, diagnostic equipment and sanitation in the hospital. CMO also interacted with the patients, attendants and enquired about the facilities being provided to them.
On the occasion, the staff of CHC Thathri including doctors and paramedics besides Rishi Kumar Pandita, Mohd Shafi Attu and DPM NHM J Mehta also were present.
