Samba police cracks down on thieves

SAMBA, July 29: Under the astute leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, the police force has achieved a significant milestone in their fight against crime. With commendable dedication and relentless efforts, the Samba Police successfully solved three theft cases, including the high-profile Bany Baba Temple theft case in Kadgal Bari Brahmana. Furthermore, they apprehended three notorious thieves and recovered stolen cash and valuables.
The arrested thieves have been identified as:
Muneer Hussain, son of Hussain Mohd, resident of 10-Changa Gangal Chowki Choura, Tehsil & District Jammu.
Shiv Dayal alias Sunny, son of Rajinder Kumar, resident of Teli Basti Bari Brahmana.
Swaran Lal, son of Dharam Chand, resident of Shekhpur Palota, Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba.
Accused Muneer Hussain was involved in the Bany Baba Temple theft case (FIR No. 191/2023) under sections 454/380 IPC at Bari Brahmana Police Station. He was responsible for stealing cash from the 'Daan Patra'. Sunny, another accused, was involved in the Teli Basti theft case (FIR No. 176/2023) under sections 457/380 IPC at Bari Brahmana Police Station, where gold ornaments and cash were stolen. Swaran Lal was involved in the Keso Godown grain theft case (FIR No. 43/2023) under sections 457/380 IPC at Ramgarh Police Station.
These breakthroughs were achieved due to the coordinated efforts of SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, and I/C BPP Kamore, ASI Rajinder Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, and Addl.SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Speaking about the commendable achievements, Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, stated that a total of one hundred sixteen (116) thieves have been apprehended, and fifty-nine (59) theft cases have been solved by the Samba Police in the past six months. The police force is determined to continue their relentless efforts to solve all theft cases registered in the district at the earliest possible.
The success of the Samba Police in cracking down on thieves and resolving several cases stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the citizens in the region.
