Early Times Report
MAHORE, July 29: The three-day Multimedia Exhibition on Seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan, G20, and Mission LiFE, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Udhampur, received appreciation from District Development Council (DDC) Member Mohammad Israel. The exhibition, held in Mahore, a far-flung area in district Reasi, has proven to be an exemplary initiative of the Government of India, allowing the public to access first-hand information about various government schemes and programs and their effective implementation. Mohammad Israel, addressing the concluding day of the exhibition, expressed the significance of such initiatives in far-flung areas like Mahore. He emphasized the need for organizing exhibitions on government schemes and programs at regular intervals to inform the general public, especially in remote regions, about the benefits and opportunities provided by these schemes. Ashok Kumar, Principal of Degree College Mahore, highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which aims to provide high-quality education rooted in Indian ethos, transforming India into a knowledge society. He commended CBC's exhibition for being the first of its kind in the area and recognized its multidimensional benefits for the local population. Khursheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer of Central Bureau of Communication, Udhampur, praised the government's pro-poor schemes and programs, which have brought about a significant positive impact, contributing to the upliftment of the underprivileged in the country. In his address, Sheikh Mudasir Amin, Media & Communications Officer, highlighted the revolutionary step of Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) taken by the government, saving substantial amounts that would otherwise go to middlemen. This measure ensures transparency and accountability in the implementation of Government of India Schemes and Programs. During the event, Bodhraj, Community Health Officer, Mahore, informed about the health department's efforts to combat drug abuse and various immunization programs conducted in the area. Mohamad Ashraf, District ASHA Coordinator, provided insights into the implementation of various programs coordinated by ASHA workers. The exhibition attracted students, teachers, locals, and employees of Jal Shakti & Health Department, as well as ASHA workers. The event also witnessed the presence of Principal HSS Mahore, Riyaz Hussain. TA (S) CBC Udhampur, Gurnaam Singh, skillfully coordinated the entire event.
