Sawan Mahotsav 'Amrit Varsha' brings traditional fervor to HPS Bassi Kalan

JAMMU, Aug 3: Humanity Public School Bassi Kalan witnessed a joyous celebration of Sawan Mahotsav "Amrit Varsha" on Thursday. The month of Sawan, known for its greenery, freshness, heavy rains, and festivities, was celebrated with various cultural activities, including musical performances, speeches, and dances.
The event commenced with a reverent Shiv Pooja to mark the special day. School Principal, Gourav Charak, Vice Principal, Anku Charak, along with other senior members and staff, offered prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati during the "aarti."
Students from different wings of the school actively participated in the event. The program began with an enlightening thought by Gayatri Singh of class 11th, followed by engaging rhymes and speeches by talented students from various classes. The little ones dressed in vibrant traditional attires, reflecting the richness of their culture and heritage.
The school premises were adorned with festive decorations, showcasing the spirit of Sawan Mahotsav, thoughtfully presented by the girls of class 7th under the guidance of Activity Incharge, Meenu Khajuria.
The highlight of the program was the recitation of 15 Shlokas of Shiva Tandva Strotam by students of class 5th to 8th, conducted by Music Teachers Rajan and Abhilash. The mesmerizing chorus left everyone fascinated and inspired.
The festivities continued with a lively dance performance by the talented students of class 5th, who enthralled the audience with their graceful moves and colorful costumes.
In his speech, Incharge Senior Wing, Keshav Raj Sharma, emphasized the significance of Sawan, stating it as one of the most auspicious months of the year, perfect for spiritual activities and fasting.
Principal Gaurav Charak graced the occasion with his presence and blessed everyone, congratulating the HPS family on the auspicious Sawan Mahotsav. He emphasized the importance of promoting religious and cultural diversity and unity within the school and beyond.
Vice Principal, Anku Charak, applauded all the participants and teachers for their brilliant cultural performances, showcasing the true essence of "Sawan Mahotsav." The event left a lasting impact, reiterating the school's commitment to fostering cultural values and traditions.
