Murder case solved within 48 hours by Jammu Police, three accused arrested

Jammu, Aug 3: In a major success Jammu Police has solved a murder case of a person namely Mumtaz Ansari S/o Raza Din Ansari R/o Gorakhpur U.P A/P Makara area under the jurisdictions of PS Akhnoor.
Giving details, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli said that an information was received at Police Post Chowki Choura regarding the murder of a person and on this police team of PS Akhnoor under the supervision of SP Rural Rahul Charak led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq and I/C PP Chowki Choura PSI Pankaj Katoch did strenuous efforts and on the basis of technical assistance along with human intelligence detained
He further added that 12 suspected persons were detained for questioning and during further questioning three accused persons confessed their involvement. In this regard, Cases FIR No. 222/2023 U/S 302/34 IPC Act got registered in PS Akhnoor and accused persons got arrested.
The accused arrested have been identified as:
1. Ravi Kumar S/o Shivcharan Chouhan R/o Bangan Tehsil Devi Nager District Punah State Madhya Pradesh.
2. Davinder Kumar S/o Shiv Kumar R/o Devi Nager.
3. Pawan Kumar S/o Bami Ram R/o Bajoli Puni Reasi.
It is pertinent to mention that knife was also recovered from the accused namely Ravi Kumar.
Moreover the three accused were staying in the house of Suresh Kumar S/o Milan Raj R/o Makara who has also been booked in violation of DM order regarding tenant verification.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
