Theft case solved, stolen items recovered by PS Gandhi Nagar, five accused arrested

Jammu, Aug 4: A complaint was lodged at PS Gandhi Nagar by one person namely Jay Deep Manocha S/o Harcharan Singh R/O H.No 17/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu regarding theft in his house in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Gandhi Nagar Jammu. On this case FIR No.188/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at PS Gandhi Nagar and investigation started. After this special police teams of PS Gandhi Nagar led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO PS Gandhi Nagar Inspr Pankaj Sharma and PSI Basharat did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up 4 suspected persons later identified as 01.Kuldeep Mattoo S/o Mangat Ram Mattoo R/o Valmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar,Jammu 02. Rahul Randhawa @Billa S/O Bittu R/O Valmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar,Jammu 03.Hardeep Singh S/o Manmohan Singh R/O H.No 1407/7 Nanak Nagar, Jammu 04.Mani Pand S/o Rang Pand R/o Valmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar Jammu. During questioning accused confessed their involvement in the above case and on their disclosure stolen items 01.Two LPG Gas cylinder 02. Two invertor 03. Two pair shoes 04. One inverter battery 05. Six Bathroom/kitchen taps were recovered from their possession.
It is pertinent to mention that they disclosed name of one scrap dealer namely Mohinder Saini S/o Ram Lal Saini arrested and recovered 01.Two Batteries 02. One inverter 03. Four stabilizers 04.Two Window AC 05. Two AC compressor 06.one copper cutlery 07. One LPG gas cylinder and 08.Three Sofas whom they used to sell stolen items. The person was also arrested in the above case.
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
