| ADGP Jammu zone reviews security for Independence Day and Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 4 :The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Jammu Zone, Sh. Mukesh Singh-IPS accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sh. Ramesh Kumar-IAS and DIG Rajouri Poonch Range Dr.Haseeb Mughal-IPS convened a security review meeting with the Police and Civil administration and took stock of the security scenario in wake of forthcoming Independence Day Celebration and Sh. Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra which commences from 17th August ,2023.
ADGP Jammu and Div Com were briefed about the security and other related issues by SSP Poonch Vinay Kumar-JKPS and DC Poonch Sh Yaseen Mohd Choudhary-IAS. Later ADGP Jammu and Div. Com Jammu convened a meeting with the Civil society Poonch, Prominent Lawyers, elected representatives which includes DDC members/BDC chairpersons.
All the speakers apprised the officers of all the cooperation for the smooth Independence Day celebrations and peaceful conduct of yatra. Civil Society Members also assured that unity and the communal harmony will not be disturbed and any such miscreant/antinational/anti-social elements if any may be dealt severely. Later a separate meeting was also held with yatra committee members which was also attended by Reps of Army and CRPF. The meetings were also attended by ADDC Poonch, ASP Poonch, ADC Poonch and other gazetted officers. |
