Govt. SPMR college of commerce organizes farewell

Jammu, Aug 4; Student Welfare committee of Govt SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu under the aegis of IQAC as one of the best practices bade heartfelt farewell after a long period to B.Com Sem 6th students in the College Auditorium. A momentous occasion, the Farewell Ceremony-2023 commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by the motivational address by Dr. Surinder Kumar, the Principal of the college and the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In his address, he applauded the efforts of the Student Welfare committee and Discipline Committee for organizing this event.
Wishing the outgoing students, he said the college prepares the students for successful careers and future endeavors.
This is definitely a memorable occasion to recognize the hard work and achievements of the students. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Savita Jamwal, Convener Student Welfare committee said that the objective of the farewell ceremony was to provide a platform to students, faculty and staff to express their appreciation and heartfelt wishes to the students of 6th semester as they are preparing to embark on their professional careers.
The program featured a variety of exciting activities, including singing of songs, dance performances, modeling, performances by the B.com Sem 4th students.
The students of Sem. 6th were adjudged by Prof. Barbara Koul HoD Commerce and Dr. Monika Malhotra Coordinator IQAC for the various titles. Rahil Bin Riyaz as Mr. SPMR & Samriti Mahajan as Ms. SPMR, Mr. & Ms. Show-stopper on the occasion after various rounds like modeling, singing, dance competition and question answer round. A large number of students of both the semesters, non teaching staff of the college participated enthusiastically in the event. The proceedings of the event were conducted by the students of Sem. 4th Ms Rupal, Ms.Namita,Ms.Aakriti,Ms. Manisha. The whole program was coordinated and managed by Prof. Savita Jamwal , Dr. Monika Malhotra, Prof. Ashu Manhas, Prof. Deepshikha Sharma, Prof. Monika Mahajan, Dr. Jagmeet Kour, Dr. Deepak Pathania.
The Committee members issued tokens to the students to avoid any kind of disturbance by the outsiders. Other faculty members present on the occasion were Dr. Sandaya Bhardwaj, Prof. Harpreet Kour, Dr. Sarabjeet Kour, Mr. Aijaj Malik, and Mr. Raman Kumar. Thus event ended marked with both happiness and sorrow.
