GDC Ramnagar Commemorates Independence Day 2023 with an Enthralling Quiz Competition

Ramnagar, Aug 7: As a part of the nationwide celebrations of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav committee of GDC Ramnagar organized an engaging Quiz competition on the theme “History of the Independent India.” The event, held on 7th August, aimed to honor India’s 75 years of independence and its remarkable journey of accomplishments, culture, and people.
Under the able patronage of the college’s esteemed Principal, Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, the Quiz competition saw enthusiastic participation from four teams. The competition was skillfully organized under the guidance of committee members, including Prof. Ritika Mahajan, convener AKAM, Dr. Divya Puri, Dr. Rashmi Gupta, Dr. Sonam Gandotra, and Prof. Anice Ahmed.
The competition featured two rounds, each designed to test the participants’ knowledge and understanding of India’s historical milestones. Round one focused on general knowledge about Indian history, while Round 2 presented multiple challenging questions with negative marking.
Emerging victorious, Team B, comprising talented students Nisha Devi, Shruti Sharma, and Ansh Mahajan from semester 5, secured the first position with their remarkable knowledge and teamwork.
During the event, all committee members and students present took the solemn Panch Pran Pledge, symbolizing their dedication to the nation and its progress.
Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Principal of GDC Ramnagar, expressed his appreciation for the event’s organizers and participants.
He highlighted the significance of such activities in instilling a strong sense of nationalism and patriotism among the youth and commended the committee’s efforts in organizing the enriching activity.
The Quiz competition, as a part of the Independence Day 2023 celebrations, contributed to the collective remembrance of India’s glorious history and served as a platform for the college community to reflect on the nation’s journey towards freedom and progress
