Excise Range Kathua organises Sports event at Basohli under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

KATHUA, Aug 10: Excise range Kathua, in collaboration with Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School, Basohli, today organised a sports event in connection with the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The event was held on the directions of the Excise Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Sharma and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Kusum Sharma. The ETO, Excise Range Kathua Virender Kumar presided over the event.
During the sports event, a volleyball match was played between the inter house teams of the school, in which both the teams played with absolute passion, fervor and enthusiasm. Both Winning and Runner up teams were awarded trophies and certificates of appreciation besides Volleyball kits, sports uniforms were provided to the participating players.
Students also took an oath to stay away from drugs and prevent their peers from falling victim of drug menace.
Principal, staff members and student of Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School, Basohli and Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar, Razi Ahmad, Amit Sharma and SI Sanjeev Kumar from Excise Range Kathua were present.
The gathering appreciated the efforts of the Excise Department in generating awareness among the students regarding ill effects of drug abuse.
