8/10/2023 10:42:46 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 10: Kavinder Gupta, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, extolled the remarkable progress achieved by India under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past nine years.
Speaking at a programme held here today, Kavinder Gupta underscored the transformative impact of the Modi government's policies, heralding a new era of infrastructure growth, effective governance, and comprehensive development.
In his address, Kavinder Gupta lauded Prime Minister Modi for ushering in an era of unprecedented development that has fundamentally altered India's trajectory. He emphasized that the Modi government has been characterized by its unwavering commitment to building robust infrastructure, ensuring good governance, and fostering all-encompassing progress. These pillars have come to define the transformative journey that the nation has embarked upon under Prime Minister Modi's visionary leadership, he said.
Reflecting on the evolution of India's reputation on the global stage, Kavinder articulated, "Previously, India was marred by corruption, policy paralysis, and ineffective governance. Today, the world holds India in high regard for its comprehensive development and effective governance." He highlighted the marked distinction between the India of the pre-2014 era and the India of today, asserting that under the UPA regime, corruption scandals and inefficiency were rampant.
Drawing a compelling comparison between the UPA regime and the current NDA government led by Prime Minister Modi, the senior BJP leader lauded the transformative measures undertaken by the latter. He highlighted how Prime Minister Modi has successfully steered India away from corruption and nepotism, shifting the focus towards developmental policies and accountable governance. He stressed that under Prime Minister Modi's resolute leadership, not only has the government's direction transformed, but the very work culture of the government has undergone a paradigm shift. He reiterated the BJP's unwavering dedication to fostering a robust, progressive, and accountable India.
Earlier, the former Deputy Chief Minister Kaviner Gupta felicitated the Handloom workers during a programme organized by Divya Jain, District President Mahila Morcha here today.
Kavinder laid stress on the call given by PM Modi for self-reliance by coining the term 'vocal for local'. "Through this the PM has stressed on the importance of supporting local businesses and startups and not giving much response to products which are non-domestic", he said, adding that this endeavour has the potential to help the economy to reach pinnacle of progress and show the right place to the competitors which have entered the country solely for personal gains.
The former Deputy Chief Minister reiterated that the idea behind vocal for local is to empower local brands and provide them a nurturing environment so that they can grow to their full potential within the country.
Asking the people to support local products, the BJP stalwart said that the approach under 'vocal for local' can prove out to be instrumental in promoting local start-ups and making India self-reliant, which is the need of the time today. He said that the country needs to focus on becoming self-reliant and help the small scale industries reach a level where they can compete with the global products in the markets across the world and for this success of 'vocal for local' is a must.
