Early Times Report
SAMBA, Aug 12: The Samba Police organized a grand 'tiranga' rally as part of the "Meri Maati, Mera Desh, Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ko Vandan" program under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign. The rally started from SIDCO Chowk Bari Brahmana and culminated at Balole Bridge Bari Brahmana, where a pledge-taking ceremony took place. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh, administered the pledge of 'Panch Pran' to thousands of participants, including prominent citizens, women, teachers, students, social activists, and police personnel.
The rally, marked by patriotic songs, the display of the National Flag, and enthusiastic sloganeering of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', saw participation from people across different walks of life, including students, social workers, officers, officials, and citizens from Bari Brahmana town and various areas of Samba District.
In his address, SSP Samba Benam Tosh urged students to become ideal citizens and productive national assets in order to combat the threats of terrorism, narco-terrorism, crimes, and corruption. He emphasized that the purpose of organizing the grand tiranga rally and administering the oath as part of the Meri Maati, Mera Desh initiative was to inspire everyone, especially the youth and students, to contribute positively to the nation's development. He stressed the importance of unity, respect for those who protect the country, celebrating heritage, discarding any colonial mindset, and working towards making India self-reliant and developed.
SSP Samba also announced a series of programs organized by Samba Police between August 9th and 30th, 2023. These programs include patriotic cultural events, sports activities in border areas, rallies involving the public and students, and other patriotic events in various places. The events aim to honor the best performers, remember martyrs, and administer the 'Panch Pran' pledge to further strengthen the commitment to the nation.
