The ceremony celebrated the achievements of these young players who brought laurels to the region.
The players recognized included Aryan Gupta, who won a silver medal in the under-19 age group, and the under-14 age group bronze medalists: Vinayak Bhagat, Hridyansh Chib, Zayafat John, Mridul Kohli, Namish Gupta, Dhruv Sadhotra, Kyran Gupta, Aarush Jain, Tabid Hussain, and Daanial Butt.
During the event, Arun Gupta expressed his pride in honoring these young international players from Jammu who represented India and performed exceptionally well, earning medals. He highlighted the unique distinction of Jammu sending 11 young boys to the international event. He also noted that Namish Gupta, one of the bronze medalists, is the grandson of Sr. Member and former Secretary General Prithvi Raj Gupta.
Gupta acknowledged the courage of the parents who supported their young children, some as young as 10 years old, to travel thousands of miles away to participate in international matches. Despite the challenges, these young athletes showcased their skills and perseverance, ultimately winning the matches and deserving medals.
He commended the dedicated efforts of individuals like Krish Gupta, Kamal Anand, Jatin Sabharbal, Jugraj Singh, Darpan Gandotra, Rupinder Singh, and Ankush Gupta for their contributions in preparing these young athletes for the international event.
