Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 12: Rajni Bala, a prominent figure within the Congress Party and the Corporator representing Ward No. 60 in Paloura Jammu, took a step towards community development by inaugurating tile work for Neel Sheel Vihar Lane today. The lane falls under the Jammu North Assembly segment and is set to undergo further development.
During the inauguration, Rajni Bala engaged with local residents, lending a receptive ear to their concerns. The installation of prepaid smart meters emerged as a pressing issue, given the inconsistent power supply situation in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of steady power supply, Rajni Bala called upon the government to prioritize enhancing this aspect before proceeding with the implementation of prepaid smart meters. She criticized the decision to replace traditional meters with prepaid ones, asserting that this move doesn't tackle the underlying issues within the system, including corruption.
The senior Congress leader strongly condemned the notion of burdening the public with upfront power bill payments, particularly at a time when the population is grappling with economic challenges, inflation, and unemployment. She noted that the government's ability to conduct various elections underscores its capacity, making the avoidance of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir questionable.
Rajni Bala expressed her confidence in the Congress Party's capability to address the aspirations of the region's people. Urging public support for the party, she stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure comprehensive and equitable development throughout the state.
As an advocate for meaningful change and responsible governance, Rajni Bala's voice resonates as a significant influence in the community, reflecting concerns that echo the sentiments of many citizens in Jammu and Kashmir.
