GDC Dudu Basantgarh empowers youth against drug abuse on International Youth Day

JAMMU, Aug 12: GDC Dudu Basantgarh marked International Youth Day by focusing on the pivotal role of youth in combating the pressing issue of drug abuse. The college premises resonated with enthusiasm as students engaged in a symposium, sharing valuable insights on curbing this societal menace.
Five students participated in the symposium, passionately presenting their suggestions to combat the evils of drug abuse. Prof. Anirudh Sharma, in his address, emphasized the need for channelizing the youth's energy towards positive endeavors that contribute to the growth and development of the nation. Drawing inspiration from the great Swami Vivekananda, he urged students to play a central role in eradicating social vices and work diligently towards a brighter future, thereby fulfilling their responsibilities towards the country.
Prof. Rahul Sharma also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of the occasion. Ranjeet Singh of Sem. 5th secured the first prize for his compelling contribution. Saloni Devi and Santoshi Devi of Sem. 3rd and 5th shared the second and third positions respectively.
Prof. Pradeep Kumar extended gratitude to all participants and attendees, fostering a sense of unity and commitment to a drug-free society. The celebration underscored the transformative potential of youth when they stand united against social challenges.
