MVIS celebrates International Youth Day with zest and empowerment

JAMMU, Aug 12: MV International School radiated enthusiasm as it celebrated 'International Youth Day' under the theme 'Empowering Voices'. The event recognized the dynamic potential of youth and their integral role in shaping the nation. Distinguished youth icons, including Dr. Praney Slathia, JKAS rank holder; Ambica Jamwal, Rehabilitation Psychologist; and Sourav Kalyan, TedX speaker and promoter of BaK LoL TV, graced the occasion with their presence.
The cultural extravaganza encompassed musical performances, dance, and rap presentations by the students. A stimulating panel discussion engaged students from classes 11th and 12th, offering a platform to voice their thoughts on pertinent issues. Mriganka Yadav from class 12th delivered an insightful presentation on young achievers who have made remarkable impacts at both national and global levels.
Dr. Pranay Slathia spoke on the significance of self-motivation in shaping one's career, while Ambica Jamwal addressed the importance of mental and emotional well-being for holistic personal growth. Sourav Kalyan shared his journey of struggles, failures, and successes on the road to fame, leaving the audience inspired.
The event featured a thought-provoking RAP song by emerging artist Mst. Prince Sharma (12th), followed by a 'youth pledge' administered by Naitik Tiwari of class 12th. Collage making competition winners were awarded trophies, with Shivika Tomar (12th) securing the first prize, Manvi Bagul (10th) winning the second prize, and Damini (12th) clinching the third prize.
The event was orchestrated by Khalid Mehraj, Senior Wing Coordinator, along with the collaborative efforts of Megha Mahajan, PGT; Mst. Madhur Chadgal; and Lalita Rani from class 11th. Gourav Abrol, School Director, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks, commending the team for igniting valuable contemplation among the youth and guiding them towards successful pursuits in various domains of life.
