'Job opportunities for Young India' event organized at GCOE Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 18: The Placement Cell of Cluster University of Jammu, and IQAC, IIC of Government College of Education Jammu, today organised an awareness program for the students of GCOE and School of Teacher Education. Principal of the institution, Prof. Aekta Gupta inaugurated the event.
In her address, the Principal said that GCOE always remains at the forefront to bridge the gap between the Industry and Academia. She added that our motive is to provide hand holding to the students and reduce their stress of getting the right placement. Prof. D. S. Manhas, Director Placement Cell CLUJ and Prof Shalini Rana of GCOE Jammu convened the program.
Dinesh Choudhary was the Resource person of the Program. Prof. D. S. Manhas motivated the students to think out of the box and come forward with innovative ideas, develop entrepreneurship and compete for the corporate jobs.
The resource person Dinesh Choudhary apprised the students about various techniques for cracking the competitive exa He also motivated the students that they should start-up their own business in various fields. He also apprised them about the job opportunities available through J&K Mission Youth. He further suggested various websites, links that are beneficial for the students.
In the latter half of the session the students interacted with the resource person and raised many queries. There were more than seventy participants in the program. They also learnt about various skills important for professional development.
The program was compared by Parval and Rabia and the program was managed by Neha Bashal. The program was attended by faculty members Prof. Seema Kotwal Dr. Rajinder Kour, Prof. Radhika Mahajan, Prof. Shamboo Nath, Prof. Shapia Shameem, Prof. Seema Kumari, Prof. Neeraj Verma, Prof. Vinay Lata, Prof. Anuradha Choudhary, Prof. Maansi, Prof. Sunita Devi, Prof. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Taahira Shah, Prof. Rubina Yasmeen. Formal Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Shapia Shameem.
