Guest lecture on cyber security enlightens students at Army Public School

UDHAMPUR, Aug 18: Army Public School Dhar Road organized a highly informative guest lecture on Cyber Security, aiming to educate students about the importance of staying safe in the digital world. The event featured Chandan Kohli, an alumnus of IIT Mumbai and the current Academic Head at Akash Institute, as the Guest Speaker.
With an impressive track record, including securing State rank 2 in NSE JS, and extensive experience in Career Counselling and Cyber Security, Chandan delivered an insightful and enlightening session. The lecture was attended by students from Classes VI to X. During the session, Chandan shed light on the best practices and precautions to ensure Cyber Security. He shared valuable insights on the do's and don'ts while using social media platforms to prevent falling victim to Cyber Crime. Illustrating his points with real-life examples, he sensitized the students about the potential consequences of disregarding safety measures in the virtual realm.
A key emphasis of the talk was on uninstalling applications that are not suitable for certain age groups. Chandan underscored the importance of being cautious about the applications and platforms one engages with, particularly in the digital landscape. The session was interactive, allowing students to ask questions and seek clarifications on various aspects of Cyber Security.
Dr. Jyoti Bedyal, Principal of APS Dhar Road, felicitated the Guest Speaker as the program concluded. She expressed her gratitude to Mr. Chandan Kohli for sharing his expertise and insights with the students. Dr. Bedyal encouraged students to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the evolving threat of Cyber Crime.
