Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 21: As part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, honoring the sacrifices of our brave heroes, the Reasi District Police, under the leadership of Sh. Amit Gupta-JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police, organized a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak (street play) event under the campaign "Meri Maati-Mera Desh, Mitti ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan" in Pouni.
Aligned with the initiative 'Meri Matti Mera Desh- Mitti ko Naman Veeron ka Vandan', the event aimed to raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse and illegal drug trade. The Sargam Club from Samba passionately performed a street play at Main Chowk Pouni, engaging prominent individuals, local youth, students, and shopkeepers in the cause. The play emphasized the importance of combating drug abuse to ensure a safe and healthier future for society. The event was dedicated to spreading the message of drug prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation across all corners of the community.
The event stressed the significance of collective efforts in fighting the menace of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking. Attendees were encouraged to actively participate in the fight against drug-related issues and to contribute to curbing the spread of this harmful problem among the younger generation.
SSP Reasi shared that the Reasi Police is diligently working with a multi-pronged approach to tackle the drug menace. They are committed to eradicating this societal issue that poses a threat to the well-being of our youth. The awareness campaign and the Nukkad Natak are steps in the right direction to create a drug-free society for a brighter future.
