BJP's tangible achievements in Ladakh defy Congress criticism, Kavinder Gupta retorts
8/21/2023 10:48:22 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 21: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, has strongly retorted to Rahul Gandhi's recent criticism of BJP's performance in Ladakh. Gupta emphatically highlighted the tangible accomplishments of the BJP in contrast to Congress' mere lip service.
Addressing the media, Gupta countered Rahul Gandhi's accusations by pointing out that it was the BJP that fulfilled the long-standing demand for granting Union Territory (UT) status to Ladakh. He compared the BJP's genuine efforts to the Congress' historical hypocrisy and lack of substantial action.
Gupta further emphasized that unlike the Congress, which treated Ladakh as a second-class region during its over 70 years of power, the BJP ensured direct funding for Ladakh. This strategic move curbed corruption and allowed for effective utilization of resources. The former Deputy Chief Minister also credited the BJP for empowering the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), ensuring more autonomy and development.
Challenging Rahul Gandhi's assertions, Gupta asked the Congress leader to name any significant work done exclusively for the Ladakhi people by his party. He argued that the people are well-informed and recognize which party is truly committed to their welfare.
Drawing attention to specific achievements, Gupta highlighted the BJP's crucial role in establishing an all-weather road link to Ladakh, which was considered near-impossible under Congress rule. He underscored the stark contrast between the BJP's proactive stance in protecting India's territory and the Congress' history of gifting land to China without opposition.
Gupta also shed light on the ongoing talks between India and China, revealing that BJP's government is unwavering in safeguarding every inch of India's land. He urged Rahul Gandhi to consider the facts before misleading the public with baseless narratives.
In conclusion, Kavinder Gupta's response underscored the BJP's commitment to Ladakh's progress, contrasting it with Congress' hollow promises. The achievements of the BJP administration are resonating positively with the people, establishing the party as a force that delivers concrete results rather than mere rhetoric.
