JU Department of Physics Commemorates Chandrayaan-3's Triumph

JAMMU, Aug 24: The Department of Physics at the University of Jammu celebrated the resounding success of the moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, through a special function organized within the department. The event was held under the able guidance and inspiration of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umesh Rai.
At this momentous occasion, Prof. Arun Bharti, the Head of the Department, addressed the gathering, extending heartfelt congratulations to the team of scientists at ISRO responsible for the triumph of Chandrayaan-3. Prof. Bharti shared his delight and also provided insights into India's history of space missions. He urged the students and research scholars in the department to foster creative minds capable of accomplishing extraordinary feats in the fields of science and technology, leaving a lasting legacy for the future.
Distinguished faculty members, including Prof. Naresh Padha, Prof. Rajni Kant, Prof. K.K. Bamzai, and Prof. Ramni Gupta, also graced the occasion with their insights. Prof. Naresh Padha encouraged students to consider collaborative research endeavors that might lead to remarkable achievements akin to Chandrayaan-3. Prof. Rajni Kant explored the linkage between contemporary science and technology advancements with age-old moon-based Hindu rituals.
Prof. Bamzai engaged the audience by drawing parallels between modern scientific technologies and earlier phases of human existence, underlining India's progress in space exploration. Prof. Ramni Gupta shared her emotions and perspectives regarding the triumphant launch of Chandrayaan-3.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of various faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students from the department. The celebration not only acknowledged the success of Chandrayaan-3 but also emphasized the importance of fostering a scientific temper and nurturing young minds to achieve greater heights in the fields of science and technology.
