8/25/2023 10:26:37 PM
Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 25: District Level Task Force Committee for Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission (DAY-NULM) on Friday approved 30 cases in favour of eligible individuals to enable them to gain sustainable livelihood.
The approval was given at a Committee meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
The Committee nod came after thorough evaluation of submitted applications seeking benefit from the manifold advantages offered by the DAY-NULM initiative. The Committee also approved one SEP(G) case.
At its heart, DAY-NULM stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment, dedicated to reshaping the lives of the urban poor. By extending gainful employment opportunities and skilled wage options, the program seeks to alleviate financial burdens and instill renewed confidence and self-reliance within vulnerable communities.
Recognizing DAY-NULM's transformative potential, the District Development Commissioner urged officers to spread mass awareness about the scheme among the public. The emphasis on educating the masses about the program's benefits underscores the administration's aim of achieving comprehensive coverage, ensuring that those in need can access the opportunities provided by DAY-NULM.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; Project Manager I&C, Abid Hussain; PO DUDA, Kavita, and other officers of the concerned departments
Meanwhile, the DC chaired a meeting of the District Rent Assessment Committee (RAC) and approved rent for 10 accommodations housing different Government Offices.
The Committee deliberated on rental rates and terms for various government departments operating from private buildings and approved 10 out of the total 24 proposals presented before it.
