JAMMU, Aug 26: Delhi Public School Jammu orchestrated a splendid Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2023-24, radiating enthusiasm and fervor. The event, held under the theme 'Sankalp se Siddhi ki aur - Lead to Inspire,' marked a significant step in fostering leadership among students.
Distinguished IAS Officer Ishita Rathi, the Assistant Collector (Under Training) of Jammu, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event also welcomed esteemed guests of honour: Nirbhay Sudan, a Chartered Accountant and alumnus; Dr. Aneesh Uppal, an alumnus from the class of 2012; and Jiya Gupta, District Head Coordinator of 'Kitaab aur Kalam Foundation,' an alumna from the class of 2021. Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Jammu, presided over the ceremony. The event drew attendance from the student cabinet's parents, school staff, and diligent students.
The ceremony commenced with traditional lamp lighting and a harmonious choir performance of 'Aao Hum Sab Haath Milyaien,' symbolizing the indispensable connection between leadership and learning.
Ishita Rathee, IAS, offered her sincere congratulations to the newly inducted student council, sharing valuable insights and encouraging them to evolve into true leaders. She emphasized keen observation, astute leadership, and the importance of seizing every opportunity for growth.
The Pro-Vice Chairperson stressed preserving cultural heritage while embracing modernity, reflecting the institution's vision for holistic education. The event climaxed with the solemn investiture of the student council, comprising 80 young leaders chosen through rigorous selection. The Principal, Ruchi Chabra, administered the oath, instilling a sense of responsibility and commitment.

Suhani from Class XII graced the stage with a mesmerizing Raag Malkouns performance, accompanied by tabla rhythms, harmonium, and taanpura, resonating with cultural heritage.
The Head Boy and Head Girl reiterated the council's dedication and urged their peers to embrace their responsibilities with enthusiasm.
