Jammu, Aug 26: In a significant operation, the police team from PS Akhnoor, led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma and assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, successfully recovered 11 blocks of Khair tree from a suspect’s possession.
While conducting a routine naka duty at Punnu Chowk, the police team intercepted an Alto car with Registration No. JK14A-4849. Upon searching the vehicle, they discovered 11 blocks of Khair tree in the possession of the driver.
The detained individual, identified as Joginder Pal S/o Dina Nath R/o Mandrian Akhnoor, was apprehended in connection with the seizure. The recovered Khair tree blocks were subsequently handed over to the Forest Department officials for further proceedings.
The case is under active investigation, and authorities are working to uncover more details surrounding the incident. |
