Samba, Aug 27: In an important development, Samba Police, under the vigilant guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, has apprehended a father accused of a heinous crime as reported by his own minor daughter in Samba.
The arrested individual has been identified as Rajesh, residing in the Samba tehsil and district. The case unfolded when a 17-year-old minor, who is also a student, filed a written complaint with the police, leveling grave allegations against her own father. Given the severity and nature of the accusations, the police promptly registered a case (FIR No. 199/2023) at Police Station Samba.
The accused father has been taken into custody and is currently under seven days of police remand for further questioning.
A dedicated police team, led by Investigating Officer (IO) SI Shabir Ahmed and SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, is overseeing the investigation. DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary are supervising the entire process.
