JKCCA organizes 15th International art exhibition online

Jammu, Aug 27: The Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) is set to organize the 15th International Art Exhibition (Online) in honor of Late (Smt.) Gobind Kour, the first contemporary woman sculptor of Jammu. The exhibition, curated by O P Sharma, Founder Director of JKCCA, is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 3, 2023. The event will showcase artworks from renowned artists across various countries.
Dr. Sushil Sharma, Director of JKCCA, highlighted the significance of the exhibition in providing an opportunity for viewers, art enthusiasts, and artists to explore diverse artistic styles, mediums, and techniques. He underscored JKCCA’s commitment to fostering art, culture, and literature within the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, with a history of organizing numerous activities at local, national, and international levels.
Late (Smt.) Gobind Kour, a prominent contemporary woman sculptor from Jammu, will be remembered through this exhibition. She exhibited her work at state, national, and international platforms, leaving a remarkable legacy. Known for her dedication and contributions, she played a pivotal role in preserving the cultural and religious heritage of Poonch district.
