Shri Ram Sena expresses concern

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 28: Shri Ram Sena has raised a strong voice against the concerning trend of converting residential plots into commercial establishments within the Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat areas of Jammu City. The organization has labeled this conversion as a severe breach of building regulations and norms, expressing worry over the integrity of the city's infrastructure.
In a statement released today, Rajiv Mahajan, the President of Shri Ram Sena, J&K, expressed dismay over the apparent inaction from the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Jammu Development Authority (JDA), and J&K Housing Board in addressing this issue. Mahajan highlighted that the three institutions, which are entrusted with maintaining the city's infrastructure, seem to have fallen prey to corruption. Their disregard for the directives set forth by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stands in stark contrast to the ongoing efforts to eradicate corruption in the region.
Mahajan further conveyed the current state of affairs to Lieutenant Governor Sinha, underscoring the unauthorized transformation of residential plots into commercial entities. These conversions not only violate building regulations but also hinder the government's revenue collection process.
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Mahajan called for swift intervention from the Lieutenant Governor's office. He urged Lieutenant Governor Sinha to direct the JDA, JMC, and J&K Housing Board to furnish a comprehensive report detailing the widespread commercial activities occurring within the residential areas of Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat.
Mahajan also demanded stringent action against officials involved in corrupt practices. He appealed to all residents of Jammu City to join forces in combating corruption and unapproved conversions of residential plots. A united effort can foster an environment where ethical practices thrive, prioritizing the well-being of the community, he added.
