| Accused of backdoor job, fake degrees, KU official co-develops JK admin portal against corruption | | Jail Mein Surang! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 28: Even as the Jammu and Kashmir administration recently launched its portal to make JK “corruption free”, the same has been allegedly co-developed by an official who is himself accused of “backdoor appointment, fake degrees and illegal promotions” at the Kashmir University.
Officials said the portal has been developed by the General Administration Department in collaboration with the Kashmir University for processing and monitoring of disciplinary proceedings initiated against employees.
As per the officials, the portal “will enable the concerned authorities to monitor the disposal of RDAs in a time-bound manner and will also ensure that there are no data losses vis-à-vis disciplinary proceedings.”
Sources said the official who was mainly working on the project from the side of Kashmir University is himself “accused of corrupt practices right since the day he joined” the varsity during the regimes of the dynasts.
Interestingly the said official was present at the launch of the portal at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.
The alleged scandals of the said official have been widely reported by the print media over the years but, as per the sources, he continues to enjoy “influence of some powerful.”
Even the academics of Kashmir University have over the years posted social media posts against him and numerous complaints were also filed. Still, no action was initiated against him ever, the sources said.
Pertinently the portal was launched on August 26 in a bid to make Jammu and Kashmir corruption free.
As per the official handout, “This initiative is in continuation to multiple steps taken to curb corruption in the past including Budget Estimation, Allocation and Monitoring System (BEAMS), Aapka Mobile-Hamara Daftar initiative – UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance), Rapid Assessment System (RAS), e-Office, J&K Employees Performance Monitoring Portal (EPM), Implementation of -tendering, AA/TS & JKPaysys, PROOF app, JANBAGHIDARI, Digital Payment, e-stamping, e-GRAS, Electronic Vigilance Clearance System, Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani, Property Return System, Auto Appeal System (AAS) etc. which have ushered new era corruption free, transparent and accountable governance.”
Despite repeated attempts the concerned couldn’t be contacted for comments. |
