JAMMU, Aug 28: The medical community at ASCOMS & Hospital, Jammu, united in celebration as Dr. Rajesh Gupta, the distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopaedics, ascended to the esteemed position of President of the Indian Orthopaedic Rheumatology Association (IORA). The election, held during the IORA Spine Conclave in Siliguri, West Bengal on August 27, 2023, is a testament to Dr. Gupta's exceptional contributions to the field.
The honor of being elected as the President of a nationally renowned institution like IORA is both a privilege and a recognition of Dr. Rajesh Gupta's outstanding expertise. The association stands as an academic platform for Orthopaedic Surgeons across India, dedicated to disseminating knowledge about Rheumatological diseases. The mission is to empower young Orthopaedic Surgeons with the ability to diagnose and effectively manage ailments such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Gouty arthritis, Seronegative spondyloarthropathies, Osteoporosis, and an array of other Rheumatological conditions.
To fulfill its objectives, the association regularly organizes conferences and workshops throughout the country. Dr. Rajesh Gupta's election to its highest post speaks volumes about his influence and standing in the medical fraternity.
In a noteworthy achievement, Dr. Gupta also played a pivotal role in organizing the 11th IORA Annual Conference in Jammu back in 2019, further cementing his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and fostering collaboration.
