JAMMU, Aug 30: The Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh Chapter of The Art of Living successfully conducted two Happiness Courses, featuring workshops on yoga, breath, and meditation. These courses were held in separate batches in an offline mode, aiming to promote physical and mental well-being among participants.
One of the happiness workshops concluded at Gian Mandir Adarsh Enclave Trikuta Nagar Extn., Jammu, spanning a duration of six days with a total of 15 hours of instruction delivered in daily sessions of 2 to 3 hours. The second batch participated at Art of Living Gandhi Nagar at Gyan Shalla. During these workshops, participants were introduced to the unique Sudarshan Kriya technique, pioneered by The Art of Living's founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Devotees from across the state participated in these enriching sessions.
The workshops were facilitated by a dedicated team of Art of Living teachers from the Jammu Chapter, including Ravinder Mansotra, Ajay Gupta, Shakti Sagar, and Smt. Prabha Salathia. These experienced facilitators guided participants through sessions that combined powerful breathing techniques, yoga, pranayama, meditation, and interactive wisdom-sharing segments. These components equipped attendees with practical tools to effectively handle challenging situations, stress, and emotional imbalances.
Participants from diverse walks of life experienced significant relief from various physical and emotional issues. Sh. Ravinder Mansotra emphasized that the six-day course aimed to impart life skills crucial for overall well-being. Smt. Ajay Gupta highlighted that the unique breathing techniques taught during the workshop aid in reducing stress, fatigue, and negative emotions, leading to a balanced and energized state of mind.
As a result of these programs, participants reported experiencing a peaceful, joyful mental state and a sense of connectedness with others. The core practice, Sudarshan Kriya, a rhythmic breathing technique, was particularly noted for its ability to alleviate deep-seated stress and promote calmness.
Prabha Salathia, an Art of Living faculty member, played a significant role in delivering these transformative sessions.
Several participants expressed their satisfaction and appreciation for the courses. They shared their experiences of enhanced well-being, relaxation, and optimism. Ajay Kapoor, the State Coordinator for Art of Living Bureau of Communications and Projects in Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, highlighted the course's relevance in addressing modern challenges such as low self-esteem, interpersonal conflicts, and stress.
