EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Aug 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), in partnership with the Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, orchestrated enchanting cultural evenings at the Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu. These events were organized as part of the ongoing celebrations for Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The two-day extravaganza was aligned with the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign, dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of war heroes and paying homage to their legacy. The mesmerizing performances captivated a diverse audience that gathered to witness the celebrations.
The first day of the cultural evenings commenced with a harmonious blend of patriotic tunes and traditional Dogri folk songs, resonating with the hearts of the attendees. Local artists Santosh Bandral, Kamla Devi, and Ashok Anjum skillfully presented these musical renditions, setting the stage for a culturally rich experience.
Following this, the spotlight shifted to captivating Dogri folk dances performed by the talented artists of the Radhika Dance Group. However, the highlight of the evening was an enthralling skit performed by the Nav Durga Kala Manch artists, centered around the theme of "Veer Gatha" or Tales of Valor.
Through their artistic portrayals, they brought to life the inspiring stories of warriors, social reformers, and freedom fighters. The audience was left spellbound by the powerful and moving performances.
Dilshad Khan adeptly guided the program, ensuring its smooth flow.
The closing day of the cultural celebration continued to dazzle the audience with remarkable performances. Aditya Kumar took center stage and left the audience awestruck with his musical performance, complemented by the skilled contributions of Rahul Bhardwaj on the tabla, Panku on the keyboard, Rakesh on the octopad, Munna on the dhol, and Rahul as part of the chorus.
Happy Productions brought the essence of Dogri culture to life with their vibrant dance routines, leaving the crowd thoroughly entertained. The festivities culminated with a patriotic dance performed by special invitees from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who gracefully swayed to the rhythm of patriotic tunes. Throughout the events, Rajni Sharma skillfully conducted the proceedings, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for the attendees. The combination of music, dance, and theatrical performances created a tapestry of cultural richness that celebrated both the spirit of independence and the valor of those who contributed to the nation's freedom.
